About the role:Our Melbourne team is currently seeking Diesel Mechanic's to join the team on either a casual or permanent basis for day and afternoon shift. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading first class transportation company and play a key part in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses every day to meet their logistics and transportation needs.The primary duties of the role will include:
Repair, replace, maintain and diagnose a high volume of all company vehicles including prime movers, rigids and trailers Completing repairs and work in a safe and efficient manner Servicing vehicles in line with our company service schedule Assisting with major repairs such as rebuilds, midlife’s, brake / bearing overhauls Accurate completion of all documentation associated with fleet maintenance and repairs Attending to breakdowns when required on a weekly roster Offering $40 p/h to $45 p/h + 20% loading for afternoon shift.About the requirements: The candidate we are looking for will have:
Trade qualification Proven competence in repairs and overhauls Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid) Basic computer skills Clear and concise communication skills Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic Lindsay Australia operates with a culture of honesty and openness.
