Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical assessments for diagnosis and fault finding in machinery, ensuring efficient repair, maintenance, and servicing.
- Service the entire fleet, including trucks, trailers, dollies, and motor vehicles following maintenance and workshop procedures.
- Perform replacements of brakes, suspension components, steering systems, and major engine components.
- Conduct body building tasks, including welding and grinding of chassis or comb rails on flat top trailers.
- Handle auto electrical work on all 12 or 24-volt systems.
- Ensure trucks and equipment are serviced in accordance with maintenance procedures and workshop manuals.
- Strive for growth in the efficiency of servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
Skills and Experiences:
- Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualified.
- Previous experience in a similar position or equivalent.
- Self-management skills with effective communication abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude coupled with good organizational skills.
- Willingness to comply with company procedures and values.
