KTrans is a Western Australian family owned and operated transport business operating from our modern facilities in the Roe Highway Logistics Park in Kenwick. Our focus is safely providing premium end-to-end logistics solutions for our clients. We offer a variety of services including express and linehaul transport, wharf cartage services, warehousing, regional distribution and specialised transport solutions.
What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team in Kenwick on a full time, permanent basis (from $35 per hour plus penalties). To be considered for this role you need to meet the below requirements:
- Australian Recognised Cert III including at least two years on the job training, or AQF Cert IV;
- Volvo, Cummins and Detroit experience desirable;
- Able to effectively diagnose and find faults in the mechanical assessment of all aspects of the HV truck fleet and Trailers;
- The ability to work well under pressure;
- A strong commitment to health and safety;
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously;
- A Positive and proactive approach;
- Ability to undergo a Company funded medical which includes drug and alcohol testing; and
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or unlimited working rights.

The Role:
- Daily maintenance of transport fleet – diagnoses faults and performs operational maintenance;
- Overhaul and repair mechanical parts;
- Recording of repairs carried out;
- Parts requisition;
- Maintain cleanliness in the workshop on a regular basis;
- Rostered and overtime work when required;
- Work offsite as required;
- Submit timesheets daily;
- Utilising expertise in using tools and power tools safely; and
- Training and mentoring of Apprentices.
Role Requirements:
- Looking for candidates available to work on weekdays and Saturdays;
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role; and
- Working rights required for this role.
