About the role:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a motivated Dietitian to join our dedicated team at Rankin Park. Located within a vibrant rehabilitation setting, our team at Rankin Park is known for its approachable and supportive atmosphere. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will engage closely with patients, participate in case conferences, and contribute to their rehabilitation journey. What sets Rankin Park apart is our emphasis on teamwork and the value we place on nutrition in patient care. You will not only witness but actively contribute to patients' progress as they work towards leaving the hospital.
This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including two non-consecutive days at Rankin Park (with Fridays mandatory) and one day per fortnight at John Hunter Hospital (JHH), with the potential for additional days at JHH initially. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the JHH dietitian team, just a short walk away on the same campus, fostering professional growth and camaraderie. Interviews for this position will be conducted between June 25 and July 5, with the role starting on July 15, 2024, and continuing through July 20, 2025.
At Rankin Park, we are looking for a dietitian who is passionate about rehabilitation and thrives in a dynamic team environment. You'll receive full support from the JHH dietetic and Nutrition and Dietetics leadership team, ensuring you are oriented to the department and provided with ongoing clinical supervision and professional development opportunities. We are committed to your growth and will support you in pursuing education, upskilling, and other developmental activities aligned with both your individual goals and the goals of the JHH dietetics team.

Rankin Park Centre is a 40-bed specialised rehabilitation facility for patients recovering from injuries and strokes.
John Hunter Hospital is a Level 6, tertiary referral, major trauma and teaching hospital and is the largest hospital in the Hunter New England Local Health District.

Requirements:
- Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
