The Art Gallery of Western Australia develops and maintains the best public art collection in the State and the world’s pre-eminent collection of Western Australian art. Through our collections, programs and events, we offer visitors exciting encounters with Western Australia art, Australian Indigenous art and the art of the world. The Art Gallery of Western Australia has an established national and international reputation and brings major world exhibitions to Western Australia and takes Western Australian initiated exhibitions to the world.

This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
About the position
AGWA is seeking a proactive, creative, and collaborative individual, committed to celebrating the arts through social media. As a key contributor to the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) Marketing and Commercial Development team, the role will coordinate digital activity and strategy for AGWA, with a focus on social media and a variety of other creative content including video and photography.
Staying up to date with the latest news in visual arts your work will be exciting, diverse, and impactful.
The role will include coordinating the development and implementation of dynamic and creative digital marketing, advertising and community engagement plans to educate and engage the public with the Gallery’s diverse range of exhibitions, programs, and events and the commercial offerings of the AGWA Design Store and AGWA Rooftop.
You will cultivate AGWA’s online audience and enhance engagement with AGWA’s online content through development and curation of engaging, creative content including copywriting, photography, video content production and effects.
Conditions
This is a full-time vacancy, for a period of 24 months, with a possibility of extension and/or permanency.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance is required prior to commencement of employment.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - and fixed term, part time and full time.
