Digital Infrastructure Specialist - Hospital Expansion Program

Purpose of the role:

There will be two key purposes being:

• Be the digital representative across one or more Logan Hospital Expansion Program (LHEP) projects ensuring successful design and delivery of the digital scope necessary to achieve successful project completion, and;
• Act as the technical Subject Mater Expert (SME) across all LHEP projects for one or more digital domains.

In this role you will:

• Report directly to the Digital Lead (Digital Program Manager) of the LHEP;
• Be the digital representative on one or more projects within the LHEP;
• Manage the design and delivery of digital scope on one or more projects within the LHEP;
• Be the Subject Mater Expert (SME) of one of more digital domains across all projects within the LHEP;
• Work collaboratively with the broader LHEP team, Metro South Digital team and eHealth Qld team.

Your key responsibilities:

• Proactively manage and facilitate the design and implementation of Digital Infrastructure necessary to achieve successful completion of the LHEP.
• Ensure that all LHEP Digital Infrastructure meets the requirements of Queensland Health and MSHHS and is delivered in accordance with policy, laws, industry standards, best practice.
• Identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure key project deliverables are achieved and the overall integrity of the project/s are maintained.
• Provide expertise and advice to the LHEP Digital Lead (Digital Program Manager) and LHEP project team.
• Scrutinise all Digital Infrastructure aspects of the designs, implementation and commissioning proposals received from commercial partners/contractors and subcontractors for appropriateness in accordance with the Project Deeds.
• Develop documentation as required under the Project Deeds and maintain accurate record management systems to ensure integrity and auditability.
• Support the LHEP Digital Lead (Digital Program Manager) in the resolution of changes, issues and disputes, including management of the input from advisors.
• Provide specialist support to the project team in relation to developing and reviewing project documentation and correspondence, to ensure legal and technical positions are acceptable to the State.
• Provide input into the preparation of timely and high quality briefs, reports, business cases and advice, including those required by the LHEP Digital Lead (Digital Program Manager).
• Build and maintain strong relationships between all stakeholders in the LHEP to ensure positive working partnerships focussed on delivering the Programs objectives.

Mandatory qualifications/experience:

• Have recent experience in new hospital projects (ideally within Queensland Health) and understand the commercial constructs under which the digital scope is delivered
• Have a proven track record of the project management, design and delivery of digital scope within recent new hospital projects
• Have a deep technical understanding of one or more digital domains and solutions
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to simplify complex technical matters.
• Work Safely Construction Industry (White Card)
