DeakinTALENT, Deakin’s Career Service (Graduate Employment), is currently seeking to appoint a Digital Operations Coordinator to coordinate the design, development and implementation of technological solutions whilst having a strong focus on information management, process automation and data analytics. The primary focus of these tasks is to enable the Graduate Employment Division to deliver its offerings and services to key stakeholders, namely, students, graduates and employer partners. This position has a passion for graduate employment and supports users of the Division’s technologies.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Distil the core issues from complex information, draw accurate conclusions and condense complex information and next steps into simple concise terms that others can understand
- Promote technical solutions to modernise work practices and ensure alignment with Deakin’s strategic direction
- Seek feedback on improvement opportunities from a diverse range of key stakeholders and implement change through appropriate channels and overcomes obstacles to change
- Plan and prioritise work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluate progress
- Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including technology partners, to ensure platform upgrades are delivered and critical issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs, and provide expert advice and coordination of data management practices across the Division, including analysis and synthesis of data to generate insights
- Strive for excellence and consult regularly with clients to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required
- Communicate with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree in a computer/technology-related discipline with subsequent relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in working with CRM systems managing large sets of customer/student records (CareerHUB experience preferred) and using various components such as forms, appointments, workflows, etc.
- Extensive experience in using data modelling (for example, MS Excel, Power BI) tools to generate reports/analysis
- Experience in automating business processes using automation tools (for example, Power Automate)
- Demonstrated experience successfully supervising and coordinating a team of Digital Services Support personnel
- Demonstrated ability to master new platforms in a timely, efficient manner
- General knowledge of the latest technology trends (i.e., AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Agile, DevOps, Integrations) and platforms/tools used across the Higher Education sector to support students and graduates (for example, CareerHub, Bright Space, ServiceNow, Jira, MS Office 365, etc.)
