Digital Originals Producer

What's the role?
We are on the hunt for a dynamic Digital Originals Producer to join our growing 'Digital Originals' team which creates content for the network's leading video news network which reaches millions of Australians, and millions more around the world, each month.
The successful applicant will be responsible for producing and publishing long-form documentary and feature content, identifying newsworthy topics and creating engaging viral content targeted to the network's digital video services.
We are looking for an experienced producer who is able to take an idea from end to end including scripting, organising guests, studio records, editing and publishing.
Successful candidates will have strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, an in-depth understanding of the global news landscape and experience working in a fast-paced newsroom.
Your responsibilities:

• Analyse platform and audience analytics to identify newsworthy content that will be of interest to online audience

Develop and maintain a content calendar of upcoming features, producing and publishing a long-form digital video feature once per week
Ownership of the content pipeline from end to end including pitching, scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing and publishing
Build strong internal relationships and utilise network talent (TV hosts) and digital presenters to front your videos on a weekly basis
Liaise with other departments to facilitate production including Studio, Graphics and Legal
Write headlines and accompanying articles, publish content to various platforms
Who are you?

• A minimum of two years' experience in a busy video-first newsroom is ideal

Experience in producing broadcast-quality video content at scale
Ability to use software to analyse high-performing content genres and create content accordingly
Able to take editorial direction to meet the needs of our audience and content strategy
Flexible with hours and able to adjust your schedule based on the global news cycle
