Part Time Diploma Qualified Early Childcare Educator - 3 Days a week

The Opportunity:

The Falcam Family are currently looking for an enthusiastic, caring and reliable Diploma Qualified (Early Childhood Education and Care) educator, that can commit to work across two of our local centres located at Kiama Downs and Gerringong for 3 Days per week. We are huge advocates for looking to bolster our education team by creating opportunities for our workforce of both full time and Part Time staff. 

The Locations:

• Create Imagine Learn Kiama Downs (24 places) - WED & FRI
• Little Cherubs Gerringong (30 places) - 1 x Weekday of your choosing

The Position: This position is a Permanent Part Time position that requires the successful applicant to work a total of 3 Days per week - strictly on Wednesdays and Fridays at our centre in Kiama Downs and consistently on one extra weekday of your choosing (either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday) at Little Cherubs in Gerringong.

Centre 1 - Create Imagine Learn (Kiama Downs) - 2 days per week, 15 hours per week, strictly Wednesdays and Fridays, on a rotating roster.

• Diploma or W/T Diploma qualified (Assistant) Group Leader position available in our Preschool Room. Our small centre is looking for a new team member to join our dynamic crew of Educators. The successful applicant will complement our current staff and job share this position creating continuity in the role and in the centre. The beauty of this position is you will be mentored in the role - initially embracing the Assistant Group Leader Role alongside the current Group Leader until you step up and assume the Group Leader responsibilities alongside your co-worker who works on Mon/Tues/Thurs. We strive to foster the professional growth and development of our Educators whilst maintaining the balance and stability of the educational requirements of the children attending our service. We know that this approach creates a holistic caring and professional environment that stimulates not only the young, but the young at heart! 

Centre 2 - Little Cherubs Gerringong - 1 day a week, either Mon or Tues or Thurs, 7.5 hours per week, on a rotating roster.

• Diploma or W/T Diploma qualified Educator required to fulfil a centre float position to complement our staff and centre requirements. The successful applicant will become part of the LCG team - working together at the centre routinely each week creating the opportunity for programming and training time for LCG staff. A great opportunity for someone looking to commit to the workforce regularly, but only for a total of 3 Days a week, one of those in our boutique centre in the lovely township of Gerringong.

The Job: 

Opportunity for a confident, capable and passionate, Diploma or W/T Diploma Qualified Educators looking to join our small, friendly family owned and operated services for 3 Days per week.  The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of experienced educators, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment at respective centres. You are expected to be an active leader of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. 

Your duties will include but not be limited to – 

• Leading, guiding and supporting a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care;
• Planning, implementing and evaluating programs for children that align with our values and policies.
• Developing strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues, children, parents and families.
• Implementing and always upholding the policies and associated procedures and practices of the organisation.
• Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.

The Criteria: 

• Hold a current Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) approved Diploma level (or higher) early childhood education and care qualification.
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate - Child Care approved (HLTAID012 or HLTAID004) including current CPR certificate.
• Cleared New South Wales Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
• Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework
• Provide two recent work-based references. 
• Australian Citizenship or Visa Eligibility, if required.
• This position is identified as a Child Safe work-related position. All successful applicants will be subject to verified WWCC and must demonstrate a commitment to uphold our Child Safe Standards.
