Employment Type: Part Time 21.75hrs per week. Monday 5.75hrs, Wednesday 5.75hrs Thursday 4.5hrs & Friday 5.75hrs.
Additional 3.25hrs available on Thursday for SRF.
One Tree Balim Balim Kindergarten
One Tree Balim Balim Kindergarten is in the Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre which is an integrated family and neighbourhood centre. One Tree Balim Balim provides a high-quality kindergarten program for local children and families. The service is inspired by child-led approaches and local culture. Our programs focus on embedding the local Aboriginal perspectives in daily routines. Various resources, theories and experiences are presented through the program to enhance children’s knowledge, understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture, which is integral to the service and community.
An opportunity is now available for two educators to join our exceeding service and work with a team of experienced and passionate educators.
What you’ll bring:
- Diploma in Early Childhood;
- 2+ years experience
- Valid WWCC
- A strong knowledge of Child Safe Standards, National Quality Framework and Early Yearly Learning Framework
- An unwavering passion for children, their learning and care
- Strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities within a Kindergarten setting
- Ability to work well within a team
What you’ll do:
- You will have the ability to design and implement a vibrant curriculum where each child’s current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are the foundation of a play-based program;
- You will be able to place the needs of children and their community at the centre of practice, while aligning with approved early learning and development frameworks and the National Quality Standards, as well as One Tree’s policies and procedures;
- You have the capacity to build a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Support children and families from diverse backgrounds
