- Salary: $1,083.60 - $1,095.10 per week (pro rata) - WHA3
- Multiple permanent Part Time positions (hours to be negotiated), working over a 7 day roster
Overview
This role offers the benefits of flexibility and a good work life balance within a friendly and supportive health environment based in Millicent. Making a difference to the lives of those in need of an extra helping hand, you will assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Millicent Sheoak Lodge Aged Care. Genuine and passionate about working with those who are aged, you will contribute to the provision of a qualitative care for residents. Your responsibilities will include bed making, bathing, showering, personal hygiene and grooming, maintenance of mobility/dexterity, laundry, cleaning of equipment, as well as transportation of clients. You will communicate resident needs to the Registered Nurse, and ensure compliance with all policies and directions pertaining to the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act and Risk Management.
Critical to your success in this role is experience in a similar role where you demonstrated the ability to exercise own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position. With effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances, you will enjoy working collaboratively with consumers, families and carers. The proven ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality is required, and ideally you will have experience in working with aged, frail or disabled persons in a community/hospital setting. Experience in the use of computer packages is essential.

Sheoak Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area on Towers Road, Millicent and is co-located with Millicent and District Hospital and Health Service ensuring ready access to medical care. It is located close to the towns shopping and recreational facilities. Millicent is a quiet country town in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, approximately 399 kilometres Limestone Coast of Adelaide and 50 kilometres north of Mount Gambier on the Riddoch Highway with its main source of income coming from agriculture and a number of large industrial companies including Kimberley Clark Australia.
