Job description

Do you want to lead a small, dynamic team in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet that has significant impact providing whole of government leadership and strategic policy advice on a diverse range of policy matters relevant to the Premier’s portfolio? Would you like to be at the coal face of work relating to the calling of elections and swearing in of Ministers?
While specific content knowledge is useful, it is not essential. We are looking for an energetic and motivated experienced officer, with high level policy, coordination and leadership skills.

At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively delivery on the government's priorities, commitments, decision and objectives for the betterment of the community.
As Director you will utilise your leadership and high-level policy and coordination skills to lead the multi-disciplinary Governance and Constitutional Services team, ensuring the provision of high quality policy and operational advice to the Premier, Director-General, and all Queensland Government departments on matters relating to executive government and Constitutional matters. You will also oversee the team processing applications made to the Department and the Office of the Premier under the Information Privacy Act 2009 and the Right to Information Act 2009.
