About the Role:

The Director of Psychology role is an exciting new position for an exceptional and highly experienced psychologist. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Allied Health Officer, the Director will provide professional leadership for the psychology workforce at GV Health. The Director will advise and inform operational management of issues, strategy and key developments in regard to the psychology workforce and the delivery of psychological services. In particular, the Director will have a close collegial working relationship with the Goulburn Valley Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.

• Recognised professional expertise and experience.
• Significant professional leadership experience.
• Highly developed communication and engagement skills with a proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The maintenance of high clinical standards and the delivery of best practice across all levels of the psychology workforce.
• Strategic oversight of the clinical supervison program for psychologists including students and registrars.
• Support of quality improvement and research within the psychology discipline and related health service systems.
• Guiding workforce development including attraction, recruitment and retention strategies.
