This is an exciting time to join this new full service upscale hotel establishing itself within the Adelaide market. Comprising of 329 guest rooms, and the restaurant, bars, feature pool and gymnasium located on level 10. There is a dedicated function centre on level 2 with six versatile function rooms and kitchen. The business mix will be varied with domestic & international leisure (Individual & Groups), Corporate & Government (Intra & Interstate) and MICE residential, day meetings and social events.
Your day to day
As Director of Sales and Marketing, you are responsible for the overall function of proactive sales, marketing and PR to maximise performance, drive RGI improvements, profitability and return on investment managing activity and total revenue generation. You should have proven record as a hunter and converter of business in a number of market segments including Corporate, Government, MICE, C&E and FIT and Group Leisure.
You will form strategic external alliances and partners to support the Hotel's positioning and actively promote the Hotel and brand through community and professional involvement.
Being a great leader and a committed team player is essential. You will are responsible for the performance management & development of the Sales and Marketing team including reservations team on property. You will create a positive and productive work environment. You will build, motivate, and lead an effective team that delivers results and is highly engaged.
To be successful in this role you'll have demonstrated excellence in these fields at a similar level as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. You'll bring great knowledge and experience, be forward thinking and inspirational with a warm and approachable manner.
What we need from you
This is a senior sales role in a full service hotel with a variety of facilities. This role will manage professional level and administrative sales team members. Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Business, Commerce or Marketing, a minimum 4 years' experience in a hospitality or hotel Sales and Marketing setting with direct management experience over a sales team within Australasia with a proven track record of success, excellent written and verbal communication skills, undertaken formal Sales Management training and comprehension of Hotel systems and revenue management principles.
