The Opportunity

As the Director of Spacetalk Mobile, your pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our MVNO operations and strategically establishing and refining the internal and external sales function for MVNO at SpaceTalk. Lead the comprehensive strategy, aligning with overall goals, while developing detailed plans and models for profitability. Your responsibilities also include overseeing network infrastructure, driving customer acquisition, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation to ensure sustained growth and competitiveness.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the MVNO business, aligning it with Spacetalk’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of business plans, financial models, and operational strategies to ensure the success and profitability of the MVNO.
  • Manage and negotiate agreements with network operators, vendors, and partners to ensure high-quality network services and competitive pricing.
  • Oversee day-to-day MVNO operations, including network management, customer support, billing, and service delivery.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, collaborating closely with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks for the Spacetalk MVNO business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, finance, engineering) for seamless integration and alignment of MVNO operations with Spacetalk’s overall strategy.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to drive employee engagement and performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including network operators, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess the success and profitability of the MVNO business, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • About You

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, telecommunications, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on MVNO operations.
  • Strong knowledge of MVNO business models, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies, driving revenue growth, and achieving profitability targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with network operators and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
