The Partnerships and Engagement group leads and coordinates AIATSIS public engagement and communications works. This includes:
- Providing access to the AIATSIS Collection and support clients undertaking Family History research.
- Marketing, communication, content production, event management services and publishing.
- Facilitating the return of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage material heldoverseas; and
- Developing AIATSIS commercial revenue streams and partnerships to further our mission.
About the Program Area
The Partnerships and Commercialisation team (PaC) sits within the Partnerships and Engagement Group. PaC furthers the impact and reach of AIATSIS activities through strategic Partnerships and Commercialisation of AIATSIS products, creating opportunities for people to encounter, engage with and be transformed by the story of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia.

About the Role
The Director Partnerships and Commercialisation is a pivotal role for AIATSIS, with responsibility for operationalising the strategic vision of the Institute. As a primarily outward facing role, the successful candidate requires a high degree of professionalism to deliver several key programs of work.
Ability to apply and maintain an extensive understanding of the agencies role and responsibilities is critical; along with the ability to incorporate a comprehensive understanding of the agency's impact on community and the wider political context in which it operates.
The Director Partnerships and Commercialisation reports to the Executive Director Partnerships and Engagement.
