Our mission is to help more people to hear.The OpportunityAs the Global Director of Product Marketing, Commercialisation, you will be at the forefront of one of the most exciting spaces in our portfolio to define, shape and execute the commercialisation strategies for the CI and Connected Care Portfolios. Reporting to the Global Director of Cochlear Implant Systems and Surgical, this is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader who thrives on commercialization of digital health and tech-enabled medical devices to increase the impact, adoption, and value of every new System launch. As a key member of the team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute and drive the most innovative parts of Cochlear’s Portfolio, delivering new-to-category and new-to-world software and hardware products to key markets across the globe that touches almost every single part of the organisation and will have a significant impact to all 4 customer groups of Patients, Professionals, Payers and Providers.Capabilities for this role include building robust commercial launch plans based on customer and business opportunities and to integrate the work across the Implants, Sound processor and Connected care teams in addition to R&D, IT and Regional teams.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a commercial product narrative, to ensure system releases maximise their commercial value
- Develop a customer-first and commercial capability across product management, through a Systems Commercialisation approach
- Work with Product Managers to ensure maximum commercial success of each launch
- Demonstrate exceptional strategic and stakeholder leadership, to influence and align across global, region and key markets to drive systems market needs and product requirements
- Manage system conflicts and issues to minimize product, customer and commercial impact.
- Provide guidance to product managers to ensure project and commercial objectives are met
- Tertiary Qualifications – minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing, science or engineering related fields with at least 10 years’ experience in marketing or MBA with 4 years’ experience in Product Marketing.
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing and commercializing health IT, digital health, Class III medical devices or software/app solutions
- Track record in understanding complex products/services and using this knowledge to increase impact of system releases to identify and assess commercial opportunities.
- Exceptional ability to communicate, influence and align across a matrixed organisation
- Experience across multiple geographies
- Outcomes-focused with process and project orientation
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capability, including prior experience influencing senior executive leadership teams
- Proven strategic thinking and business acumen
- Product management, product launch and project management experience.
- A thinker who challenges the norm with customer-centric, fact-based, decision-making.
- Sales experience in a health care-related industry
- Experience in hearing health or related industries
