This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for six months, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: We are seeking an experienced leader to direct our Program Management Office (PMO) located at Perth Children's Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and alignment of the PMO function within Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) to connect talent, systems, information and intitatives to consistently support and deliver on health service planning priorities at a strategic and operational level. You will lead and direct the development, implementation and evaluation of a strategic clinical framework to meet current and future clinical needs of the population of the CAHS in accordance with state and national priorities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the CAHS PMO practices comply with the Clinical Services Planning and Programs Policy Framework that specify the governance requirements in order to ensure an effective and consistent approach across the WA health system.
  • Identify, develop and implement strategies to support system-wide cooperation to achieve CAHS and government outcomes.
  • Strategically develop and work with other key area executives and key health service personnel to deliver appropriate analysis of clinical activity and other key clinical performance indicators for CAHS executive.
  • Ensure the department has relevant strategic, operational and risk management plans to support its activities.
  • Manage budget outcomes, budget strategy and a responsible budget application for services under control.
  • Ensure operational risks are identified, mitigated and managed, and communicate unacceptable residual risks to the CAHS Executive.
  • Lead, direct and monitor the application and implementation of suitable performance measures and monitoring systems for agreed clinical performance measures.

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
