Role Description - Director State Development (SAES1).pdf
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) drives the Premier's priorities in South Australia. Our vision is to be the heart of government through providing important leadership, trusted advice and strategy as well as central support services for the social, environmental and economic issues that we face. Our staff enjoy working with colleagues who value integrity, knowledge and intellectual capability. They exemplify the public sector purpose: Making a difference so South Australia thrives.
The State Development team is part of the Economic, Environment and Infrastructure Division. The team provides trusted, strategic policy advice designed to drive South Australia’s energy, resources, planning, infrastructure and major projects agenda. This includes providing the Secretariat for the Hydrogen and Upper Spencer Gulf Cabinet Taskforce and the National Energy Crisis Committee of Cabinet. The team also works closely with other stakeholders and agencies (State, Federal and local) to coordinate policy projects that cut across these portfolios. This includes driving relevant regulatory and legislative reform, supporting the delivery of major government developments, and proactively addressing complex policy issues as and when they emerge.
