Job description

Thanks to Telethon and the Swan Districts Foundation, Swans' Disability and Inclusion programs will be boosted in 2024. On the back of successful initiatives like the All Abilities and Wheelchair AFL teams, Telethon is trusting Swans to deliver further mentoring and engagement in schools and the community, with funding for a new positions dedicated to Disability and Inclusion.

We are now hiring a Disability and Inclusion Programs Coordinator to lead all delivery and enhance opportunities for kids through programs including:

  • Swans Elevate mentoring in schools for students living with disability
  • Wheelchair sports in schools and the community
  • The club's All Abilities football team and school engagement

Reporting to the Head of Social Impact, this new role is a vital part of our organisation that adds further impact to our current programs which include Swans Elevate and Maali Moorditj, as well as community engagement initiatives to impact health, well being, inclusion and sense of belonging.

You will be a leader out in the community representing Swans, working closely with our partner schools, local councils and the community to develop and deliver programs that help improve peoples lives. Ideally, you will have a background in disability, sport, education, youth, community or justice environments.

From our home at Steel Blue Oval in Bassendean, we have provided an inclusive meeting place for our community since 1934 and this has been extended through our social impact programs across Western Australia.
