Who are we looking for:
We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. As a PCA, you will be responsible for providing Personal Care and emotional support to a client in Bendigo in their home. Thsi role would be suitable for an EN with Support worker expereince.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support consumers with daily living tasks such as Personal Care, grooming etc.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to consumers, ensuring their wellbeing and safety
- Promote independence and encourage consumers to achieve their goals and aspirations
- Maintain accurate records and document all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with other professionals involved in the consumers care, including family members and external healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Experience in providing care and support to consumers with a range of needs, including complex care
- Expereince with hoists.Failiar with PEG feeding and high needs care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certificate III or IV qualification in a relevant field such as Individual Support or Aged Care, or completed first year of Bachelor of Nursing
- Currently hold or willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Empathy, compassion, and a positive attitude towards supporting others
