About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker for our participants in Narre Warren and surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities as a Disability Support Worker will be to provide in home support and community participation for our NDIS participants. Our participants require services include assisting with self-care activities, complex care, household tasks, community participation, personal care and transport. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Full assistance with personal and complex care 
• Assisting and supporting participants in their home
• Supporting the participant in achieving their needs and goals for the day
• Providing true and authentic companionship to the participant
• Household tasks and meal preparation
• Building on individual strengths and enabling participants to reach their goals
• Skill development activities with the participants in their home
• Support clients in community participation and social activities
• Assist with mobility aids, transfers, and positioning

Skills and experience:

• Current Police Check
• Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a car
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Administration of medication training (or willing to obtain)
• Certificate III Individual Support / Community Services or Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in providing Disability Supports
