The Role:
Promote participant’s participation in age-appropriate activities and tasks within the community and at home.
To help the participant engage in outings and daily activities and promote involvement in the community.
Provide direct care in accordance with the NDIS plan.
Abide by the medication administration policy, WHS procedures and participant rights policies.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants by reporting any issues and concerns to the appropriate persons.
Provide 1:1 care or small group support.
Ensure documentation and information relating to the participant is accurately and appropriately recorded.
Disability Support Workers provide assistance to a person with a disability with everyday tasks that a person without a disability would be doing for themselves and may include, and not be limited to, the following activities:
Manual Handling.
Showering.
Toileting.
Grooming.
Meal assistance.
Meal preparation.
Exercise.
Domestic responsibilities.
Recreation.
Personal development.
Communication.
Mobility.
Personal administration.
Shopping; and
Other independent living skills
What are we looking for:
Desirable Qualification requirements:
Cert IV in Disability or Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
Achieved Diploma in Community Services/ Mental Health or Equivalent
Certificate III in drugs and alcohol
Certificate III in Mental Health
Have Experience and Training in specialised areas example: Down Syndrome, Autism
Special Requirements:
First Aid Certification
CPR Training Certificate
Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
Infection Control Training - COVID 19
Administration in Medication
National Police Certificate (less than 1 year)
Driver Licence (Preferred)
2 Reference Check (Preferred)

Salary range: AUD 70,000 - AUD 75,000 per annum (plus of superannuation)
