About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker you will be dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals. We have a permanent part time position available where you will provide active, person centred support to people with disabilities. Successful candidates will have availability to work a range of shifts across a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts and weekends between our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Park Ridge, Marsden & Arundel, a willingness to travel between these locations is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Community access and transport
- Maintain and monitor Person Centred Plans
- Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
- Establish positive relationships with the people we support and their families
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in the industry supporting clients with disability and/or relevant qualifications
- An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
