Tropical Support Service provides services to participants receiving supports from the Australian Government-funded NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). Our Service is dedicated to empowering individuals to "Live Your Life Your Way," with a commitment to providing exceptional and personalised supports to participants. We prioritize an individual’s needs, ensuring that each person receives tailored assistance to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) or a Certificate IV in Disability (CHC43115)
- ESSENTIAL: 100 points of ID (one primary form of ID and one secondary form of ID)
- Proof of right to Work in Australia (Birth Cert/Citizenship/Visa)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Police Check if transitional rules apply)
- Working with Children Check.
- Queensland Open Class Drivers Licence
- Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance
- First Aid & CPR Certification.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Follow person-centered support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully.
- Support and assist with community activities and enable participants to perform daily living tasks.
- Track and document an individual’s progress. times.
- Assisting with domestic tasks and chores such as shopping, menu planning, cooking, washing, and cleaning.
- Assist with personal care needs specific to the participants individual requirements.
- Supporting with outings, social activities and other daily routines.
- Providing companionship.
- Assist participants to develop their skills, abilities, and confidence.
- Understands the importance of maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, privacy, and duty of care to participant circumstances and organisational matters, at all times.
