About the Role
We seeking a male Support Worker who has experience working with vulnerable people with mental health conditions and proven experience dealing with escalating behaviours and episodes of psychosis.
The Disability Support Worker will work with the male client for 5 hours per week (Mon, 9-12) (Tue 10:15-12:15). In addition, there will be an opportunity to pick up casual shifts providing they do not conflict with the above shifts.
As a member of our community-based team in Bunbury, you will facilitate the delivery of positive and proactive support for people with disability. You will actively support individual needs and create a safe environment for them to reach their goals. The successful candidates will have experience with intensive positive emotional support and have worked with people with a range of physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assistance with daily living (including personal care where needed)
- Community access and transport (with the use of your own vehicle)
- Maintain and monitor person-centred plans
- Documenting and progress note keeping
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting people with disability (essential)
- Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement (essential)
- Willing to complete basic household chores or assist the person you support to complete the tasks
- Willingness to deliver personal care - assisted showering, dressing, brushing teeth etc.
- Passionate about delivering Person-Centred care
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
