This position is casual with a view to permanent on going position for the right candidate
Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers provide a range of rehabilitation and support to consumers, tailored to meet their individual needs. Neami National's work with consumers occurs within their own community of friends, family, and neighbourhood.
You will work closely with clinical case managers and other community partner organisations in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to clients. Gain valuable experience working within a boutique and nimble organisation that delivers its services in a supportive team environment.
Key duties of the role will include:
- Provide supportive counselling and evidence-based mental health intervention as required;
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders to assist participants;
- Liaise with external support agencies and professionals to complete assessments or make appropriate referrals.
About you
Your proven ability to achieve performance expectations will be complemented by your:
- Proven ability to produce good case notes;
- Experience in the disability services industry, or similar;
- Demonstrated Case Management and Advocacy skills;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- IT and Administration skills
Essential:
- National Criminal History Check (police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check – required before commencement of work
- A valid Australian Driver's License
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);
- Experience as a Social Worker, dealing with at risk and vulnerable client groups;
- Must reside in Australia with working rights
