About the roleWe are looking for
Support Workers to help who have industry experience, manual handling skills and the following attributes:

- We are seeking casual that will lead to permanent or part time Disability Support Workers who have experience in supporting participants with intellectual support needs.
- You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs and manual handling requirement to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence.
- Enable our participants to shape and improve their lives, reaching their goals.
- They create opportunities, are champions of connecting their abilities, and inspire partnerships of support that encourage every individual to realise the full potential.

- 15+ hours per week paid employment
- Experience in mental health.
- Experience in complex behaviours of concerns.
- Providing complex care and support to participant with challenging behaviours and ability to comply individual Behaviour Support Plan.
- Ability to complete medical charts and records.
- Providing support around personal care, including bed bath/showering, toileting, dressing and medication administration.
- Ability to recognise and understand to individual changes.
- Domestic duties for a clean and hygienic environment and workplace. Cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Empowering and supporting individual support needs, improving daily living with level of understanding of cognitive impairment and psychosis diagnosis.

Mandatory requirement
- Certificate III in Disability, or Individual Support or equivalent
- First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willing to obtain.
- NDIS Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWC)
- Current Driver’s License (mandatory).
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check and a Working with Children Check.
