Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent required
- NDIS worker orientation module
- Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded - ASD, Down Syndrome, Mental health, Personal care, Medication management, hoisting, enteral feeding, and stoma care.
- Current First aid & CPR
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current national police check (or willing to obtain)
- Open Driver licence
- Access to a smartphone
Tasks & responsibilities
- Individualised community-based support
- Support & skill building in home and in the community
- Working with participants to develop independence and daily living skills
- Providing personal care to participants
- Contribute to the ongoing development of a person-centred team
- Assist with medications and other duties as specified per the participant support plan
- Maintain participant records to ensure consistent and quality care
- Actively contribute to a team environment through open communication, participation in regular staff meetings, planning and reviews
- Be adaptable to changing circumstances and being able to prioritise work
- Display a client-focused and person-centred manner
- Assessing clients' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs
- Interviewing clients and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients
- Assessing community need and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other facilities and services
- Supporting families and providing education and care for children and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing and government institutions
- Assisting young people to solve social, emotional and financial problems
Remuneration
- $60,000 - $80,000 per annum + super
Licence/Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Driver Licence
- Certificate in Individual Support, Nursing, or such
