The medical program is seeking to recruit clinicians with a strong interest in medical education to the roles of Discipline Lead in Mental Health.

The successful applicant will work with clinicians across multiple sites and with the leadership of the Bond Medical Program to lead the development of discipline-based curriculum and assessment.

This is a Part-time 0.4FTE, Fixed Term Appointment for 2 Years.  Applications for smaller fractional commitment are also invited as this position can be undertaken as two roles at 0.2 FTE each.

About the person

The ideal applicant will be a clinically active specialist, with knowledge of and experience in contemporary teaching and learning practice, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high quality learning for Medical Students.

Required professional and personal attributes include the following:

  • Current registration as a Specialist within the relevant discipline in Australia.
  • Current active clinical practice as a Specialist in the relevant discipline in either the Public or Private sector on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, or Northern NSW regions.
  • Knowledge and experience of contemporary teaching and learning practice.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and perform effectively, and to develop teamwork with and make progress with an academic team spread across multiple sites.
Salary details

The salary for this part-time (0.4FTE) position commences at $71,191.60 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $177,979.01) plus 11% superannuation per annum.

This position may be eligible to receive a prorated clinical loading.
