We are seeking a self motivated Dispatch Supervisor to join our team. As a vital member of our warehouse operations, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch department and ensuring the efficient and timely dispatch of personnel, vehicles, and equipment. This role involves managing a team of dispatchers, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high customer service and operational efficiency standards.

The successful applicant will:

  • Supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement dispatch policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor dispatcher performance, ensuring adherence to schedules and protocols.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of personnel, vehicles, and equipment to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage scheduling and ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
  • Handle escalations and complex dispatch situations, providing support to dispatchers as needed.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding dispatch operations.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all dispatch activities and communications.
  • Analyse dispatch data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on dispatch operations, including performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all dispatch activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the dispatch team and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Our ideal candidate will have / demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Dispatch position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • A good level of physical fitness and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
