About the role
 

We are looking for a District Wool Manager to join the team in Esperance on a permanent, full time basis.

Elders District Wool Managers provide clients with wool sales and marketing expertise to achieve sales & earnings targets.  In the capacity of a specialist this role shall guide and develop Branch staff to increase their knowledge of wool.

Responsibilities
 

As a District Wool Manager, you will;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their current and future needs.

  • Manage the client interface for the wool sale’s end to end process, including strategies for passed in lots.

  • Achieve wool sales targets (at or above the commission rate target).

  • Identify and cultivate new wool sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.

  • Ensure compliance with client allocation process and credit and payment terms for all transactions.

  • Ensure compliance with completion of electronic Agreement to Buy and Sell contracts.

  • Plan sales activities in regular consultation with manager (weekly review and plan). 

  • Assist Area Management with setting wool sales targets and identifying growth opportunities

  • Advise clients on wool appraisals and test results.

  • Attend ram sales and advise clients regarding purchases to maximise clip return. 

  • Work constructively with other team members to support a collaborative culture

About you
 

To succeed at Elders, you will:

  • Proven track record in sales

  • Advanced client relationship skills.  

  • Expert knowledge of clip preparation (review and presentation).

  • Good knowledge of animal health.

  • Solid understanding of ram and sheep selection.

  • Full understanding of risk management practices.

  • Livestock Auctioneer licence.
