Pups4Fun have a new and unique position available for a Dog Groomer Trainer and Mentor to join our team.
The Dog Groomer Trainer and Mentor will be responsible for coordinating and training all aspects of the Pups4Fun Dog Groomer Training Programs. They will provide hands on training and Mentoring to new groomers, Trainees and Australian School Based Apprenticeship students, develop training programs and products and run grooming instructional programs. Development of online training programs and assisting with the performance management of students will be required. Conducting dog grooming to a high standard is an important aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The primary roles of a Dog Groomer Trainer are:
- Conduct hands on training and Mentorship for trainee groomers;
- Evaluate progress and provide performance feedback;
- Develop and update internal training programs;
- Develop and implement external training programs
- Liaise with stakeholders to manage trainees;
- Perform dog grooming services;
- Complete grooming administrative tasks and customer service;
- Routine communications;
- Personal development;
- Any other tasks as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements
- WWVP Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (or ability to obtain within 12mths)
- Cert III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) or ability to obtain within 6mths
- Or relevant industry experience in leadership and training.
