Dogoverboard has 2 permanent positions available for dog lovers.
We are seeking a receptionist to greet our clients and also a Dog Grooming Assistant to prepare dogs by bathing drying and brushing for our style groomers.

Dogoverboard is most comprehensive speciality Canine Care centre in Australia. We provide a wide range of canine services including professional Dog Grooming, bathing, brush outs, de-sheds, DIY bathing and drying, day care, puppy crèche, puppy preschool, canine hydrotherapy and fun swimming in our 15m indoor canine pool.
Our operational structure
Dogoverboard’s operations and services delivery are based on two dedicated teams each providing specialised Canine Care services.
The Groom Team is responsible for all grooming related services including the clipping and scissoring of our clients’ dogs. Our groomers do not bath and dry their groom dogs, these are prepared for the groomers by Dog Grooming Assistants.
The Canine Care Team is responsible for the delivery of all other services. This includes client reception, bookings, bathing and hand blow drying of dogs for both clients and the groom team, puppy creche, day care, canine swimming and our canine therapy services. Cleaning and presentation of the business is also a responsibility of this team.
The responsibilities of Canine Care Receptionist
You will greet clients and their dogs ensuring bookings, services and expectations are addressed and exceeded.
You will work closely with the Grooming Manager to ensure the operations of both teams are efficiently planned to meet client expectations and on time delivery.
You will process client payments, make ongoing bookings and be confident dealing with customer expectations.
You will be confident handling phone queries and confirming phone and online bookings.
You will take special interest in supervising our puppy creche and dog stay services.
You will be responsible for quality control, appearance and cleanliness of the business.
Ideally this position would suit a dog groomer who wishes to cease grooming dogs, a Vet nurse, a Hairdressing salon manager, or a go getter with experience in the pet care or the Dog Grooming industry who is seeking more full filling and senior responsibilities.
Experience working with dogs and Dog Grooming would be highly regarded.

The responsibilities of the Dog Grooming Assistant
We require an enthusiastic and passionate dog lover to carry out the duties of Dog Grooming Assistant and dog bather for our professional style groomers. This is an ideal career building opportunity for a school leaver or somebody that has some experience in Dog Grooming, dog bathing or dog care.
The role involves bathing and drying, brushing, de-shedding, preparing dogs for our style groomers and clients’ dogs. Also assistance to our other specialised canine services.
If the applicant shows enthusiasm and a real flare for grooming, this will lead to extensive internal training in Dog Grooming and a permanent position as a dog groomer.
You should be an energetic, enthusiastic go getter, confident, happy and above all reliable, passionate about Canine Care, prepared to work hard and confident with all size dogs.
You must love dogs and be prepared to work in a very dynamic Canine Care service industry. Previous experience will be highly regarded.
