Australia for UNHCR enables Australians to contribute to global humanitarian relief work. UNHCR is often first in and last out during emergencies, providing crucial life-saving assistance and care to the people who need it.
Support comes in many different forms, such as donations to our emergency appeals, regular giving, community fundraising events, major gifts, and corporate partnerships. Australian gifts provide life-saving aid to civilians fleeing the frontlines of conflict. They also support longer-term projects in healthcare, education, and livelihoods. Nobody chooses to be a refugee, but we can all choose to stand with refugees in their time of need.
Role Responsibilities:
You will report to the Database Manager and collaborate closely alongside the Donor Care team to support Australia for UNHCR’s fundraising goals, by processing all incoming data into the Donor Database in a timely and accurate manner.
The focus of the role will be on data processing tasks such as cleansing and importing data. You will also assist with recording single-gift donations and providing donor care when called upon to support the broader team.
- Maintain and download recurring donations into the CRM Raiser’s Edge.
- Process donations into the database including agency face-to-face sign-ups, e-commerce, and online donations.
- Troubleshoot errors whilst running tasks and escalate if required.
- Liaise with donors via email, phone, or mail.
- Complete ad-hoc data imports into the database.
Essential criteria:
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, be passionate about processes and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a similar data entry/administration role, using Raiser’s Edge will be highly regarded; experience with similar CRMs such as Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce will be considered as well.
- Intermediate - advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with experience automating data processing using tools such as Excel and Access.
- Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style; with the ability to troubleshoot autonomously when needed.
- A positive, energetic, and empathetic nature with excellent customer service skills.
