Australian Biotechnologies honours the gift of tissue donation through processing, manufacturing and distributing life enhancing allograft tissue products for the Australian community.
We are looking for a part time Donor Review Specialist, to add to our growing Tissue Services team.
The role will include:
- Review of tissue donor files to ensure compliance to our donor criteria through the review of:
- serology and microbiology results
- medical and social history, including hospital records and cause of death reports
- tissue retrieval documentation
- Ensuring donor compliance to relevant Therapeutic Goods Orders.
- Administrative tasks such as:
- file management
- use of specialised tissue banking databases
- booking tissue transfers
Successful applicants are required to be:
- Passionate about honouring the gift tissue donation
- Extremely detailed orientated
- Highly focused, with the ability to read and review large volumes of information
- Willing to complete a Tissue Banking Specialist course to obtain certification
- Able to learn, interpret and apply regulatory requirements
Applications must have a minimum of:
- Tertiary qualification in Medical or Health Sciences
- 3+ years’ work experience in Medical or Health Sciences
