About the Role
South Flank is BHP's newest Iron Ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the largest Iron Ore hub in the Pilbara region. Its brand new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and has been converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank's future-facing design.
South Flank’s Mining Production Team are seeking highly skilled individuals experienced in the operation of the CAT D10T track dozer.
Strong consideration will be taken for those with proven work history and precise skills in contour work, ramp construction, bulk pushing, scrub & vegetation clearing and pattern preparation.
Additional experience with the Komatsu Frontrunner AHS in an open pit hard-rock mining environment will be highly regarded.
About You
Your expertise in problem solving & diagnostics, coupled with your ability to communicate and build strong team relationships will make you an ideal candidate to help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.
Ideally you will meet the following requirements;
- Minimum 2 years production dozer experience.
- Computer literacy and experience with Frontrunner Komatsu AHS.
- Valid C class manual unrestricted drivers licence is essential.
