DRA are the manufacturers of the Humma range of pick and carry cranes. The cranes are completely fabricated and assembled at our Perth based facility.

We are currently looking for experienced Auto Electricians, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics, Welders / Fabricators, Automotive Spray Painters, Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Engineers, and Mechanics to join our team.

AUTO-ELECTRICIAN:

You will need to demonstrate:

• Software install and commissioning
• AQF Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, or equivalent of relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Experience in understanding and working to electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
• Good knowledge of CAN bus, scan tools and diagnostics
• Fault finding experience

You will be responsible for:

• Fitting of electrical components (lights, screens, relays, fuses)
• Fitting into chassis of wiring harness
• Terminating plugs and connecting battery boxes
• Basic understanding of an electrical schematic
• Basic diagnosis skills
• Fitting of light other non-electrical components if required

WELDER / FABRICATOR:

You will need to have:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or similar
• A minimum 5 years' experience
• Experience operating all automatic welding machines including robot welders
• Experience setting up robot welding machines
• Some knowledge of fabrication jigs for automatic welding machines
• Experience in fitting out and welding structural steel and in vessel manufacture
• Ability to work with a range of metal types and thicknesses
• Experience in the reading of engineering drawings and welding symbols

You will be responsible for:

• Studying structural drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• Setting up and operating robot welders
• Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• Fitting out and welding vessels
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

HEAVY DUTY DIESEL MECHANIC:

You will need to have:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• A minimum of 5 years' experience
• Experience in:
  > Fitting of hydraulic hoses, fittings, valves and pumps
  > Engine and transmission assembly
  > Diagnosing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  > Installing pneumatic systems
  > Fitting suspension systems
  > Greasing and lubricating equipment
  > Repairing cranes, forks, motor vehicles, road plant, access equipment, and machinery

You will be responsible for:

• Assembly of new mobile cranes
• Servicing and repairs to cranes, forks, motor vehicles, road plant, access equipment and machinery

MECHANICAL FITTER

You will need to have:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting)
• A minimum 5 years' experience
• Experience in:
  > Fitting fabricated cranes parts onto Humma Cranes
  >Checking fabrication and assembled parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.
  > Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools.
  > Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  > Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance and repairing mechanical parts.
  > Maintenance and repairs to factory equipment.

You will be responsible for:

• Assembly of new mobile cranes

AUTOMOTIVE SPRAY PAINTER:

You will need to have:

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology
• A minimum of 5 years' experience
• Experience in preparing metal for priming
• Experience in applying automotive primer at the required thickness
• Sanding the priming using the appropriate grade sanding paper to a standard for finish coating to a high gloss level
• Experience in two pack epoxy and polyurethane finishes
• Experienced with conventional air spraying with some knowledge of airless spray
• Capable of working in a safe manner with solvents and paint products keeping the work booth clean at all times

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out all of preparation and painting with minimal direction producing quality finishes on the company built cranes

MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

You will need to have:

• Relevant trade qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years' experience
• Experience with cranes, forks, motor vehicles, road plant, access equipment, and machinery

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing specifications, drawings, and quality control tests
• Planning, designing, and reviewing specifications of equipment
• Developing technical documents
• Designing new components or improvements
• Troubleshooting issues that arise

MECHANIC

Applicants must be fully qualified and have at least 5 years' experience.

These are full time permanent positions and remuneration packages between $70,000 - $75,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidates.
