About the role
The role of the Design Manager is to successfully manage and deliver production of design drawings, workshop drawings and manufacture drawings, CNC list files and work orders for commercial and residential projects. You will assist with the take off and ordering of materials for commercial projects as required and attend sites to measure at various stages of the projects. Enjoy working with state of the art production facilities and cutting edge computer design software to enable the creation of one off or multiple joinery items quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage completion of tasks, projects within specified timelines
- Managing budgetary spend and contract requirements and communicate cost savings opportunities.
- Submissions of workshop drawings within timeframes and compliance with project documentation.
- Carry out site visits and assessments. Ability to find solutions for difficult tasks.
- Prioritise work volumes, achieve contractual agreements, liaise with Operations Manager in the event of potential risk of exceeding budgets.
- Conformance to customer/client specifications, company standards and regulation requirements.
- Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met
- Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
- Experience in the production and manufacturing methodologies of joinery
- Experience in Planit Software's Manager and Cabinet Visions Programs and AutoCAD
- Strong communication, confident in consulting, negotiating, and liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proven ability to follow through/delivery of objectives
- Ability to interpret complex plans and specification
- Attention to detail and excellent problem solving abilities and time management
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction/White Card

Benefits
