About this opportunity
Our Asset and Environmental Sustainability Portfolio has an opportunity for an experienced Ganger to provide supervision or direction to other employees for road maintenance and road construction activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise staff undertaking a range of construction and maintenance projects requiring the application of established work practices and procedures.
• Assume responsibility for security and condition of all Council vehicles and equipment utilised by Work team under control.
• Review and evaluate procedures and techniques utilised by the Works team under control to determine and improve efficiently and effectiveness.
• Monitor expenditure in areas supervised to ensure compliance with budget, and advise the immediate Supervisor of significant variations.
• Manage, support and develop staff by assessing and reviewing performance and work standards for all subordinate staff.

About You...

• Current Queensland drivers' license C Class.
• Current card for General Construction Induction
• Understanding of road construction plans and specifications.
