This national award-winning Civil Contractor has delivered a wide range of projects throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific with specialties including civil structures, 3 waters, ground improvement, and foundations. With a substantial workload and challenging projects happening in 2024, they are now seeking to appoint Drainlayers based in Wellington.
The Role
If you’re looking for a chance to put your drainlaying skills to the test and work on exciting projects, then this could be your next step. Demonstrate your leadership in tasks given to you by supervisors, foreman and superintendents. Apart of this role you’ll manage the project delivery team(s) in efficiently carrying out work to the project plans, along with managing resources such as plant, equipment and materials allocated to them.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, communicate with and support a crew
- Demonstrate simple respect, and a high standard of fairness and integrity,
- Strive to meet targets daily, weekly, milestones.
- Trade qualification required or enrolled in appropriate course.
- Current Site Safe Passport
- Good written and verbal communication skill.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Construction of water main supply pipelines, either PE pipelines or concrete lined steel.
- Sewer mains in either concrete or PE and other materials
- Construction of valve sets either above or below ground.
- Knowledge of pump stations, large diameter chambers and manholes
- Installation of box culverts and concrete pipes.
