THE OPPORTUNITY
- Carry out fault-finding and diagnosis of Drill equipment.
- Identify cost and time saving opportunities/ improvements in relation to the drill fleet and report to Supervisor.
- Scope and schedule upcoming works for the Drill fleet prior to PM Servicing
- Demonstrate leadership and provide coordination of Drill PM Servicing.
- Enter relevant information into all computer programs eg. Pronto database, Maintenance Roster.
- Carry out, provide input to the development and follow all SOP’s/JHA’s/FLRA’s ensuring risks are identified and mitigated, and safety standards are met. Undertake team-based risk assessments as required.
- Manage the underground drill fleet on a daily basis to best meet the day’s requirements for safe production and adherence to the schedule.
- Maintain close liaison with HV Mechanics to ensure any overlapping maintenance activity is communicated and undertaken efficiently and safely.
- Maintain close liaison with production personnel to ensure maintenance activity is communicated efficiently.
- Complete accurate and timely shift reports.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
- Completion of Valid and relevant Trade Certificate.
- Current Unencumbered “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Experience in the use of a computerised maintenance management system.
- Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications (including the use of Microsoft Office Suite).
- Extensive knowledge of mobile mining equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
