Drillers Offsider ( Diamond and RC Drilling)

GMP Exploration Drilling is a  locally owned and operated Exploration Drilling contractor, with various drilling projects in the Victoria, South Australia and NSW. and currently has multiple Surface Driller Offsiders positions available.

We are currently seeking applicants for experienced Drillers Offsider positions.

• Fly in, fly out from nearest Capital City
• FIFO 4/2 and, DIDO 2/1 week rosters available.
• Day and Night Shift required.
• Mix of client camp, small town and exploration (bush jobs)

Exploration work is typically in very remote locations, the Company provides a caravan, meals and a starlink system so you are able to contact loved ones. You are welcome to bring your swag if you prefer!

As a Drillers Offsider, you will support the driller by:

• Mobilisation/demobilisation of drill rig.
• Bagging, lifting and carrying of sample bags.
• Operation of rod handler.
• Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean and hazard free.
• Assist with maintenance and servicing of equipment within capabilities and qualifications.
• Driving vehicles.
• Fuel and lubrication management.

Who should apply?

• Must hold a Heavy Rigid drivers’ license, our equipment is truck mounted (required)
• Minimum for 1 year as a Driller offsider.
• Provide a National Police Clearance less than 6 months old. (required)
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen. (essential)
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate. (preferred)
• Previous experience working in a physically demanding role.
• Physically fit and able to work 12-hour shifts in harsh outback conditions.
• Safety focused, have a great work ethic and willingness to learn.
