Job Description
As a Sweeper Operator some of your day to day duties will include:
- Operating street sweeping vehicles as required in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations and Council policy and procedures
- Carrying out all duties efficiently, and in a safe and competent manner without risk to yourself or the community
- Making a significant contribution to the cleanliness and appearance of Our City as a vital member of our Street Cleaning team
- Being part of a supportive and inclusive team
- Working directly with the community
Desired Skills and Experience
To succeed in this position you will need:
- Ability to operate a variety of makes and models of street cleaning machines
- Hold a current Victorian Medium Rigid (or greater) driver's licence
- Ability to safely perform a range of physical tasks and duties as directed, in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability and desire to provide support and assistance to team members and positively contribute to the team culture
- Experience driving a street sweeper vehicle in a safe and efficient manner is highly desirable
- Good communication skills to communicate with community members as required
