Driver / Tour Guide / Porter - Kangaroo Island

Globally celebrated and the winner of multiple, prestigious awards since first opening in 2008, Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island has now reopened its doors

We now have a rewarding opportunity for a Tour Guide / Driver / Porter to join our Southern Ocean Lodge family on Kangaroo Island. 

The Role:

Your office is the outdoors, and you enjoy bringing people together to explore some of Australia’s most beautiful unspoilt wilderness.  Where your day is spent being a true host to our guests, delivering high-quality tours for all guests.

You’ll have a FULL SA Drivers License, knowledge of Australian animals and plants, the ability to interact with all guests in a friendly and courteous manner, and a passion for the great outdoors.

This is an ideal role for those looking at getting into a permanent Experiences Guide role, and is an ideal time to join Baillie Lodges, with strong growth and career opportunities as the group continues to expand on a global scale.

You will have…

• Ideally, knowledge of native flora and fauna the ability to provide relevant information to guests
• A great sense of humour and the ability to instill this approach in your team
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of guests and team members
• The ability to work across flexible rosters including weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and school holidays
• A full South Australian Drivers license and South Australian Small Passenger Vehicle license 
• First Aid and SA Responsible Persons Badge qualifications (we can assist in facilitating this requirement)
