Driver/Storeperson

What we’re looking for:
We are currently looking for a Driver/Storeperson to join our team at AWM Oakleigh on a full-time permanent basis.

This is stable and long-term opportunity for someone with a good work ethic and a positive outlook to life, willing to provide a high level of service.

The role:
As our new Driver/Storeperson, you’ll be primarily out and about on deliveries, while also being involved in general day-to-day store and warehouse operations, including (but not limited to):

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch.
• Unloading and loading courier deliveries.
• Ensuring all orders are dispatched accurately and promptly.
• Delivering goods to customers in the work vehicle
• Guaranteeing the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
• Some order processing, invoicing and inventory control.
• Ad-hoc duties around the branch as required.

Based out of AWM Oakleigh, this is a permanent role with full-time hours.
Monday to Friday 6.30am – 3pm (no Saturdays)  

The right person will have the opportunity to progress in different areas of the business (should they wish!) based on their interests and abilities.

The requirements to succeed:

• Have unrestricted Australian working rights as sponsorship is not offered for this role. (No temporary visas, unfortunately)
• Have a valid class C driver's licence.
• Have some warehousing experience.
• Have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Have a thirst for product knowledge and a real drive to learn new skills.
• Be excellent at managing your own time and a real ‘self-starter’.
• Be physically fit and able, and able to lift up to 25KG as and when, as this can be a physically demanding role at times.
