With more than 210,000 members we’ve been a part of the Tasmanian community for 100 years – we're Tasmania’s shoulder to lean on and voice when it matters. Our values guide us in all that we do – Engage with Heart, Unleash Potential, Walk the Talk and Together we Thrive. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energised Driving Instructor to join our Launceston team. You’ll coach, mentor and support learner drivers to become safe solo drivers.

If you have a passion to coach and mentor learner drivers, we can teach you all the skills you need and take you through a comprehensive training program. We will also support you to obtain the Cert IV in Training and Logistics qualification.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand content and deliver training and education in varied environments.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Well-developed computer literacy, particularly with common office applications.
  • Ability to perform administration tasks i.e lesson bookings and adjustments, taking payments as required.
  • Completed Qualification in Cert IV in Training and Logistics – Road Transport (desirable)

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and hold a full, current Australian driver licence (for a minimum of 12 months).

We’re offering:

If you want to be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong, and you’ll have the opportunity to create a real difference in your community and environment - we would love to hear from you!

We have so much to offer when you join our team. Our flexible work environment helps you balance life’s commitments.

We offer exceptional career development. There’s also discounts on RACT products and services, access to all member benefits, reward and recognition programs, regular team activities, incentives, a volunteer day program, paid parenting leave, and dog-friendly Fridays.

By joining RACT you'll be a part of an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity, recognising every individual for their unique differences. We invite people from all backgrounds to apply.

Does this sound like a great fit for you? We’d love to hear from you! Please reach out to our People and Culture Team at peopleandculture@ract.com.au if you have any questions about this role or working with RACT. Please submit a cover letter and up to date resume by 9am Tuesday 19 March 2024.
