Drug Court is a statutory division of the Magistrates Court of Victoria and provides an alternative sentencing option for offenders with drug and/ or alcohol dependency. Accused persons are provided with an opportunity to complete a Drug Treatment Order ('DTO') in order to improve participants health and wellbeing, thereby reducing offending behaviour and increasing community safety.
Job Description- Lead and manage a diverse team, including counsellors, clinical advisors, and administrative staff
- Oversee and manage the day to day operations and resources of the Drug Court, including a multidisciplinary team, assets, stakeholders, and resources
- Recruit, develop, and regularly evaluate staff to enhance performance, service delivery, and professional growth
- Identify and address service gaps, trends, and resource issues, and coordinate quality assurance systems
- Contribute to business planning to promote the delivery of a high-quality service
The Successful ApplicantWe encourage you to apply if you possess the following:
- 3+ years experience in a leadership/senior management role supervising staff within a judiciary, welfare, social work or government environment
- Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team
- Capacity to establish effective working relationships with the judiciary, legal professionals, and service/court staff
- Ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
