Preferred qualifications/experience/attributes:
- Experience & Expertise: teaching experience and proficiency in various drumming styles, including rock, jazz, and classical.
- Education: A degree in music or a related field is preferred.
- Passion for Teaching: An enthusiastic approach to teaching students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and their families.
- Creativity: Ability to create engaging lesson plans that inspire and challenge students.
- Willingness to work evenings Mon-Thurs; and on weekends.
- A high level of personal integrity and commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct private 1-on-1 drum lessons.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations, and competitions.
- Conduct occasional workshops and attend our performance events.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Your compensation will be competitive. It is important that you are well compensated and that this job moves you in the direction that you want your life and career to be going. We don’t engage in unlawful “sham contracting” like some music schools. You will be employed under the correct Award, paid your superannuation entitlements, and enjoy an extremely consistent income and appointment book.
