Your day to day - Duty Manager
The moment a guest steps into our hotel, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Duty Manager you act as a liaison between guests and management. Represent Senior Management and in their absence is entirely responsible for the seamless running of the Hotel. You will act as an Ambassador for the Hotel and manage the hotel guests to ensure their comfort and well-being at all times.
This role will manage all aspects of the front office from guest arrival to departure to deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life. You will provide assistance in all hotel operations as well as providing support and training for the Front Office team.
The successful candidate must have:
- Previous Hotel Front Office experience is essential.
- Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience in supervising and training other team members and departments
- Proven complaints handling skills.
- High level of planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst prioritizing and managing time to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels in an organisation.
- Resilient, with the ability to achieve and excel under pressure.
- Impeccable level of personal presentation.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
- You are able to work shift work which involves various shifts including Mornings, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends and Public Holidays.
- Knowledge of Opera PMS preferred.
- Duty Manager role is full time
Your day to day - Night Auditor
- Assisting with check-in and check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered to
- Fostering strong communication between the Night team and day team
- Be proactive and resourceful when attending to guest requests
- Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our guests are positive and productive
- Actively resolve guest complaints and challenges to high levels of satisfaction
- Provide guidance, supporting training and leading the team
- Take responsibility for the night audit function alongside the Night Manager, ensuring that all auditing income and revenue reporting are collated to a high level of accuracy
- Be responsible for the health and safety of all guests and staff members
- Working the night shift 11pm-7am
- Night Auditor role is part time
Qualifications and requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy – Excel and Opera experience
- Excellent attention to detail.
- RSA and First Aid qualifications or be willing to obtain.
- Must live in Australian and have full work rights
